1- It is named after a scientist called Nikola Tesla

Tesla was named after the inventor Nikola Tesla who is one of the greatest scientists and engineers. One of his creations was the induction motor and alternating-current (AC) power transmission which is currently used in many electric cars today.

2-Tesla was about to be bought by Google 

In March 2013, Elon Musk met with google’s co-founder and CEO Larry Page, He was looking for Google to buy Tesla with a deal of 6 billion dollars in cash, along with a commitment to invest 5 billion dollars for factories as needed. By that time Tesla was in a very critical situation and it couldn’t cover its losses. However, by the first quarter of 2013, Tesla was able to squeeze its first profit ever. It wasn’t a big profit but it was enough for them to pay their excessive loan balance making them no longer under bankruptcy risk.

3- Their Cars Are Designed to Require Almost No Maintenance

Unlike gasoline cars, Tesla cars require no traditional oil changes, fuel filters, spark plug replacements, or emission checks. And the fun fact is because of regenerative braking, the brake pads stay very long.

4- A Tesla Car is never completely turned off

Even Though you park it and go away from it, the car doesn’t get shut down, instead, it just goes into a sleeping mode. That is why it gets back to life so fast when you need it. This is more like when you shut the lid on your laptop.

This feature also helps to receive over-the-air updates at any time.

5- Elon Musk Isn’t the Founder

Many people are going to be shocked because of this fact, however, it is true. Elon Musk is not the founder of Tesla. It was created by two men Marc Tarpenning and Martin Eberhard back in 2003 with the vision to transform the image of electric cars.
