Galaxy Watch4 Classic leaks in all its glory, rotating bezel in tow

Earlier today, we learned that Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy Watch4 family will have a Classic model, in addition to the Watch4 and Watch4 Active. It turns out that the gadget formerly known as the Watch4 Active might just be called the Watch4 – and we’ve already seen what it looks like thanks to some leaked renderings.

It is now time for the Galaxy Watch4 Classic to receive the same update. So there you have it in all its “Classic” grandeur, replete with a rotating bezel and two massive buttons on the right.

Samsung unveiled its skin (because, yes, Wear devices will have skins, much like Android phones) a few days ago at MWC, and the Watch4 family is likely to be unveiled during the next Unpacked event, which may take place later this year.

As you can see, date 28 appears on the leaked renderings of the Watch4 Classic, which may be the day of the announcement, the day of the release, or neither. The Watch4 Classic will come in three sizes, one more than we’re used to.

It will allegedly be available in 42mm, 44mm, and 46mm sizes, as well as three colors: white, gray, and black. There are considerably fewer colors available than on the Watch4/Active, however, that’s what you get when you buy a “Classic,” right?

The Watch4 Classic’s case will be either stainless steel or aluminum, and you will be able to select any material for all three sizes. Any 20mm watch band will work with the Watch4 Classic, and two sizes are included in the box: S/M and M/L. (a la Fitbit). The screen will be shielded by Gorilla Glass DX or DX+, with the former on stainless steel watches and the latter on aluminum timepieces.

DX+ is softer and so appears to “fit” better with metal, as well as having superior scratch resistance. The Watch4 Classic is water-resistant to 5ATM and will be MIL-STD-810G certified.
