Rim Size:

TREAD PATTERN

The tread pattern is responsible for channelling the water away when you are driving through a flooded or waterlogged area.

Conventional Tread:

The conventional tread most commonly used tread pattern. It can run in both the directions and can be mounted on the wheel. These type of conventional tread tyres are very useful in channelling away water while driving through waterlogged areas and decrease the noise of the tyre too.

Uni-directional Tread:

Asymmetric Tread:

Generally, the tyres with asymmetric tread patterns have both an inside sidewall and an outside sidewall. If you notice, you will find a marking on the sidewalls stating the side as to which is supposed to be road facing and which is car facing. Date:

Checking the date of manufacturing is another important aspect to look at and it is mentioned on its sidewall. Generally, it is a DOT code which is simply represented by a four digit number where the first 2 digits indicate the week and the last 2 digits depict the year of manufacturing. If the tyre is older than 6 months, avoid picking up that one.
